Over 35 years at the heart of Francophone culture
Founded in 1988 by Francine Mercier-Chevrier, Librairie du Soleil has established itself as an essential part of the cultural life of the National Capital Region. Located on both sides of the Ottawa River, our three locations offer an impressive selection of general literature while meeting the specific needs and interests of their respective communities. At Librairie du Soleil, we are proud to offer the widest selection of French-language books in the Outaouais region.

Gatineau – Hull
53 boul. St-Raymond, Gatineau, QC
Located at 53 boul. Saint-Raymond since July 2014, our Hull location primarily welcomes young families and specializes in children's literature and school educational materials.
Ottawa – By Market
33 George St., Ottawa, ON K1N 8W5
Located at 33 George Street in the By Market, our Ottawa location is in the city's tourist zone, near universities and federal ministries. It serves readers passionate about philosophy, history, and current affairs essays.
Gatineau – Cinema 9 Building
